Byron S. Miles, CPA, MBA
Vice President of Finance and Administration
Byron Miles is the Vice President of Finance and Administration at the College of
Eastern Idaho (CEI). Byron comes to CEI with over 30 years of leadership and
accounting management experience. He has over 20 years of higher education
experience at Idaho State University in functional areas to include budgeting,
accounting, grants, contracts, facility operations, personnel management, and career
and technical education.
In addition Byron Stanley Miles has experience in the private sector, working as a CPA and as a corporate controller with a regional oil company for 16 years. A few years in the military round out his career experiences.
Byron works closely with various State agencies including the Idaho State Board of Education, the Career Technical Division, the Department of Public Works and the Division of Financial Management.
Byron is a CPA, and has earned his BBA in Accounting, and an MBA from Idaho State University.
On a personal level, Byron is a native of Idaho and is married to his wife Kathy. They have two adult children. His personal interests include photography, travel and being in the great outdoors. He enjoys working and serving in the community.
Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs
Lori Barber has served as Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at College of Eastern Idaho since June of 2019. Prior to this role, she was Dean of General Education at the college. She holds a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in History and Anthropology. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership & Innovation at Arizona State University. She has been involved in education at the K-12 and post-secondary levels for over twenty-two years. Before joining College of Eastern Idaho, Lori taught History as an assistant lecturer at Idaho State University.
Executive Director of Human Resources
Mary Taylor, MHR, College of Eastern Idaho Human Resources Executive Director has been with College since 2016 and has been a vital member of the administration team during the conversion of EITC to CEI. Mary has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Maryland, a Master of Human Relations from University of Oklahoma, and is currently in the Doctorate of Educational Leadership program at Idaho State University since the fall 2018. Mary boasts nearly 29 years’ experience in HR and leadership roles in the financial industry and higher education. Mary is very involved in the local community and participates on college and state committees, CUPA-HR, Southeast Idaho Society of Human Resources, and Society of Human Resources.
Executive Director of Workforce Training & Continuing Education
Jeff Sneddon serves as the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Executive Director at College of Eastern Idaho (CEI). Jeff comes to CEI with over twenty five years of management in the inter-related fields of workforce development, business assistance, and economic community development. His extensive experience includes nine years implementing workforce development initiative in partnership with the Maine Department of Labor/Career Center system, the Kennebec Valley Community College, and Maine Job Corps. Jeff earned his MBA from the University of West Florida and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. He is married and has two sons, and enjoys outdoor recreation.
Amanda Logan, CEI Executive Liaison, has over fifteen years of public administration experience. She previously held advisory, leadership, and policy/analyst roles at the US Department of the Treasury, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and in the nonprofit world. Amanda graduated summa cum laude from Moravian University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science and is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School. She is also involved in the community through multiple organizations and serves on a number of CEI committees.
