Byron Miles

Byron Miles, CPA, MBA
Vice President of Finance and Administration

Byron Miles is the Vice President of Finance and Administration at the College of Eastern Idaho. Byron comes to CEI with over 30 years of leadership and accounting management experience. He has over 20 years of higher education experience at Idaho State University in functional areas to include budgeting, accounting, grants, contracts, facility operations, personnel management, and career and technical education.

In addition, Byron has experience in the private sector, working as a CPA and as a corporate controller with a regional oil company for 16 years. A few years in the military round out his career experiences. Byron works closely with various State agencies including the Idaho State Board of Education, the Career Technical Division, the Department of Public Works and the Division of Financial Management. Byron is a CPA, and has earned his BBA in Accounting, and a MBA from Idaho State University.

Lori Barber

Lori Barber
Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs

Lori Barber has served as Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at College of Eastern Idaho since June of 2019. Prior to this role, she was Dean of General Education at the college. She holds a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in History and Anthropology. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership & Innovation at Arizona State University. She has been involved in education at the K-12 and post-secondary levels for over twenty-two years. Before joining College of Eastern Idaho, Lori taught History as an assistant lecturer at Idaho State University.


Mary Taylor

Mary Taylor
Vice President of Human Resources

Mary Taylor, MHR, College of Eastern Idaho Human Resources Executive Director has been with College since 2016 and has been a vital member of the administration team during the conversion of EITC to CEI. Mary has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Maryland, a Master of Human Relations from University of Oklahoma, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Idaho State University. Mary boasts nearly 30 years’ experience in HR and leadership roles in the financial industry and higher education. Mary is very involved in the local community and participates on college and state committees, CUPA-HR, Southeast Idaho Society of Human Resources, and Society of Human Resources.


Angela Hays

Angela Hays
Executive Director of Workforce
Training & Continuing Education (WTCE)

Angela Hays has served as the Executive Director of WTCE at College of Eastern Idaho since the fall of 2022. Prior to this role, she was the Regional Director of Marketing for Nuclear Care Partners. Her undergraduate work was in communication and marketing and she holds a MBA. With extensive experience in marketing, Angela specializes in creating key community alliances, driving educational activities for brand awareness and streamlining marketing and communication efforts. As an avid volunteer, she is extremely involved in numerous community and non-profit programs.
