Welding Technology


The full-time welding program at CEI will provide you with training in shielded arc (stick), oxyacetylene welding and burning, metallic inert gas (MIG) inner shield welding, and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding. As a student, you will spend approximately two hours per day in the classroom and four and a half hours per day with hands-on training. Related courses include blueprint reading, mathematics, layout and fabrication projects, metal identification, and welding theory.

ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE (AAS)

  • 4 full-time semesters, includes 5 GenEd classes (29 months)

ADVANCED TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE (ATC)

  • 4 full-time semesters (22 months)

INTERMEDIATE TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE (ITC)

  • 2 full-time semesters (10 months)

Notice:

Students who are registered for 12 or more credits, or who are taking courses in the professional portion of a healthcare program, are required to carry health insurance and will be automatically enrolled in the SHIP plan. Students will be billed at the time of registration.
