We believe that CEI should be a fun place to work. Celebrations, recognitions, and opportunities to gather and enjoy each other’s camaraderie are vital to foster relationships and maintain a healthy culture for our campus community.

About Us

Purpose

The CEI Staff Senate shall serve as an advisory committee and a collective voice to convey ideas, information and recommendations to administration regarding the interests and concerns of the staff. The goal is to continually improve operations and build a sense of community and an environment of respect and fairness by facilitating effective communication among Staff, Administration, Faculty and Students.

The Staff Senate shall:

Seek to ensure CEI is a positive and productive learning and working environment whereby integrity, tolerance and respect are affirmed.
Provide an effective two-way communication link between the administration and the staff.
Advocate for action and improvements by proactively listening and addressing the needs and concerns identified by staff.
Encourage staff by providing support for diversity, inclusion, career growth and positive morale.
Strive foremost to contribute to the overall success of CEI and its community.

Soaring Falcon Nomination

See something great? Say something great! Nominate your fellow falcons for the Soaring Falcon award.
Staff Senate aims to recognize high achievement through contributions made by staff who further the mission and core-values of the College. We encourage staff, faculty, and students to nominate a staff member who deserves recognition.
Staff Senate will recognize one staff member each month in the Staff Senate Newsletter. Nominees who are not selected in the month in which they are nominated will be considered for future months.
Please include a statement (maximum of 300 words) about the nominee that includes examples of how the nominee:

Provides excellent service
Demonstrates leadership qualities
Has made a significant contribution or improvement within their department, team or the CEI community
