Workforce Training and Continuing Education
The Workforce Training and Continuing Education Division (WTCE) is responsible for the non-credit programs at College of Eastern Idaho. WTCE is home to one of Idaho’s six Workforce Training Centers operated in cooperation with Idaho Career Technical Education. Our programs unite people who want to expand their creative talents and gain new skills and experiences.
From enhancing career aspirations to upskilling, there is a class, certificate, or program just for you! WTCE has a combination of short- and long-term courses spanning topics such as cybersecurity, art, welding, and many others. Workforce Training and Continuing Education Division is a service to the entire community.

In addition to traditional classes, WTCE provides the community with online course options through Ed2Go and ProTrain, access to special events and trainings, and the opportunity to create custom training with CEI WTCE or independently utilizing our campus.
Ed2Go
CEI Workforce Training & Continuing Education has a partnership with Ed2Go to offer a wide variety of online training courses. If the program or course you are seeking is not listed in the direct links above, try the Ed2Go online catalogs. There are over 800 different course options!
These introductory courses are for learning personal and basic professional skills including various computer applications, writing skills, and many more. Costs of the classes vary but are all under $750.
College of Eastern Idaho, in partnership with Ed2Go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations.
Our programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective web-based learning programs. Instructors/mentors are actively involved in your online learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, and encouraging and motivating you to succeed.
These courses are in-depth trainings and often include exam vouchers for industry-recognized certifications.
Financial assistance may be available through Ed2Go, military programs, or State of Idaho programs.
ProTrain
CEI Workforce Training & Continuing Education has a partnership with ProTrain to offer a wide variety of online training courses. If the program or course you are seeking is not listed in the direct links above, try the ProTrain online catalog. There are online, self-paced options that accept enrollment year-round and live online, instructor led options that have a predetermined schedule. There are over 300 different course options!
Financial assistance may be available with a payment plan directly through ProTrain, WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), and other State of Idaho programs.

Refund Procedures
Thank you for choosing to learn with Workforce Training and Community Education at the College of Eastern Idaho. We appreciate your confidence in us and look forward to your participation in our programs. WTCE is committed to offering classes that appeal to the community for both content and schedule.
Here at CEI we realize that unexpected things happen and plans change. If this occurs and you need to withdraw from a class please refer to the individual procedures below:
Material fees, testing fees, facilities fees, etc. are separate from class tuition and refunded at the discretion of WTCE.
All refunds can be placed as a credit on your account as a voucher for a future class or can be refunded back to you, minus a $20 administration fee, to your original form of payment. Refund vouchers can only be used for future WTCE class registrations and will not be redeemable for cash.
Please contact our office at wtce@cei.edu or 208-535-5345 during regular business hours (8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday) and we will work with you to transfer, reschedule or to complete the withdrawal process. Refunds can take up to six weeks to complete.
Advanced Opportunity and Idaho Launch Funding have separate refund policies. Please reference those as well as the class refund Procedure.

Refund Procedures
Advanced Opportunity
The Advanced Opportunities program is an opportunity for students to participate in challenging and rigorous coursework. As students navigate the program, it is their responsibility to meet with their advisor or counselor to create a plan, work hard to successfully complete all courses, and pay attention to important deadlines and registration processes.
Student Registered, but does not show up for class
If a student registers for the class through the district, they are responsible to attend the class. If the student does not show up for any of the classes no funds will be dispersed through Advanced Opportunities. The student will be eligible to take other courses for funding.
Students attends and either withdraws or fails the class
Students are not required to pay back course fees if they have failed or withdrawn from a class. However, in order to be eligible for additional Advanced Opportunities funding, they must: 1) Sign up for another course and pay the registration fee, and 2) The student must pass the course.
At that time students can reapply for Advanced Opportunities funding.

Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships have a limited number of seats for each session and usually have a waiting list. Students who need to withdraw from these courses will be eligible for a refund of the tuition portion only, based on the date of notification of withdrawal
If you need to withdraw from your apprenticeship Call WTCE. If the request is received at least 5 business days prior to the class start date, you will receive a full refund to your method of payment minus an additional $50 administration fee. The administration fee is waived if you elect to receive your refund in the form of a voucher.
Requests to withdraw received up to five (5) business days after the class start date will receive a refund to your method of payment of 75% of the cost of tuition. You may also elect to receive a
voucher for the full value of your tuition.
No refunds or vouchers will be issued more than five business days after the class start date.
Business/Professionalism/Computer Classes
If you need to withdraw from a class, call WTCE 2 business days before the first day of class to receive a full credit for a future class or refund of the tuition fee minus a $20 administration fee.
After the class has started, only credit will be given based on the discretion of WTCE.
Customized Training
The refund Procedure is agreed upon by and approved in the contract that was created for the customized training. Please refer to the contract for further information.
Bootcamps: Cyber, Coding, Digital Marketing, Data Engineering
Request for withdrawal and refund must be submitted in writing to wtce@cei.edu within 2 business days prior to the start of the course/program to receive a full credit for a future class or refund of the tuition fee minus a $20 administration fee. No refunds after start date.
Health Care Classes
Health Care programs have a limited number of seats for each session. Students who need to withdraw from these courses will be eligible for a refund of the tuition portion only, based on the date of notification of withdrawal.
Assistance with Medications Course
If you need to withdraw from or transfer to another class, call WTCE 2 business days before the first day of class to receive a full credit voucher for a future class or refund of the tuition fee minus a $20 administration fee.
If you do not contact us within 2 business days, you will not receive a refund for that class or be able to transfer the funds to another course.
CNA
If you need to withdraw from or transfer to another class, call WTCE prior to the last day of registration to receive a full credit voucher for a future class or refund of the tuition fee minus a $20 administration fee.
If you cancel class between the last day of registration and prior to the first day of class, you will receive a 75% refund.
No refunds after the class start date.
CPR
If you need to withdraw from or transfer to another class, call WTCE 2 business days before the first day of class to receive a full credit voucher for a future class or refund of the tuition fee minus a $20 administration fee.
If you do not contact us within 2 business days, you will not receive a refund for that class or be able to transfer the funds to another course.
EMT Program
If you need to withdraw from or transfer to another class, call WTCE prior to the last day of registration for a receive a full credit voucher for a future class or refund of the tuition fee minus a $20 administration fee.
If you cancel class between the last day of registration and prior to the first day of class, you will receive a 75% refund
No refunds after the class start date.
Personal Enrichment (Community Classes)
If you need to withdraw from a class, call WTCE 2 business days before the first day of class to receive a full credit for a future class or refund of the tuition fee minus a $20 administration fee.
After the class has started, only credit will be given based on the discretion of WTCE.
Third Party Vendor Classes (Online)
Please refer to the individual provider for details.
Ed-To-Go
Advanced Career Training Program
Once a student is enrolled in an Advanced Career Training Program, they have 10 calendar days from the date they sign their Student Enrollment Agreement to advise ed2go of any need to drop their program for a refund. During this time frame, students can submit their drop/refund request to their Student Advisor. Please note:
The 10-day refund Procedure may not apply to all programs. Some programs are non-refundable once the Student has received a start date for the program.
Students may be responsible for material costs, if materials are not returned to ed2go, or received back in less than new condition.
Drop/refund requests received after the 10 day grace period may be approved on an exception basis only. If a drop/refund is approved, additional fees, such as material fees and instructor fees, may apply and will need to be collected prior to processing. Please refer to the Student Enrollment Agreement for further detail regarding this Procedure.
Self-paced Tutorials (SPT) (https://www.ed2go.com/cei/)
Self Paced Course: Enrollments can be dropped and refunded for up to thirteen (13) calendar days after the session access start date as shown in the OAC provided the following:
- Student has not submitted a final exam
- Student status is not Complete
Pearson Workforce Education Refund Procedure:
Pearson Procedure is to not provide a refund to learners once the learner enrolls into the course by using an enrollment code provided by LearnerCommunity (Pearson's platform partner) to access the course content.
ProTrain Refund/Extension Procedure:
Refunds for online courses are only given under the following circumstances: The student/user did not access any portion of the online course and the student/user requests a refund, in writing via email within three business days from the date of the course setup (email notification sent). There will be no refunds for any online courses (or curricula) once a course has been accessed in any manner. If applicable, any shipped or online course reference materials (physical books, eBooks, study guides, CDs, Self-Study Kits, Videos, etc.) are returned, unopened/unused at your own expense if you accept delivery of the package.
Please understand that with the enrollment and accessing of your online course, you have read and agree to the aforementioned refund Procedure. There are no extensions granted for your course. If you do not complete your course by the end-date on your welcome letter, there will be additional fees for extended access to your course and any online reference materials such as eBooks.
UGotClass Refund Procedure:
UGotClass offers a full money back refund to any student who requests a refund. No questions asked, a full money back refund can be requested at any time by a student, even after the course is over. Since UGotClass and the Partner organization jointly serve UGotClass students, the Partner organization of course approves of the refund as well.
World Education Cancellation/Refund Procedure:
Students who request a refund within 72 hours (until midnight of the third day excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays) from their program start date will be eligible for a refund up to their full tuition amount. If the student has accessed any portion of the program or been sent materials which are not returned in new/unopened condition, the cost of these items may be deducted from the refund amount. Items which may not be returned such as electronic textbooks or software licensed to the student will also be deducted from the refund amount.
Refunds will be made back to the person or parties who originally purchased the course, including
3rd parties such as state or federal parties, and may not be returned directly to the student. Payment
Plan or Loan students may not be refunded for any fees associated with establishing their financing plan. Students requesting a refund after this 72-hour period will not be eligible for any refund in full or in partial. After this refund period, students may cancel their program without a refund or contact our customer service staff for assistance in transferring or extending their program (fees and conditions may apply).
Refund requests must be submitted in writing through the methods below. Refund requests made by phone, live chat or other means will not be accepted.
