Marketing
We promote and enhance the College of Eastern Idaho brand by applying guidelines to projects created for all campus departments and institutions.
Official CEI Style Guide
View the Official CEI Style Guide to learn about the CEI brand, and how to stay on-brand.
Procedures
Any and all public relations activities conducted on behalf of or in the name of the institution must be approved by and will be coordinated with the Communications & Marketing Director. All external publications including brochures, newsletters, flyers, pamphlets, posters, advertisements, and public service announcements representing and/or publicizing CEI must be approved through the Communications/Marketing Office.
CEI has standards regarding use of the College’s logo, which will be available here shortly as a downloadable style guide. We ask all faculty and staff to adhere to the branding standards to be set forth, that CEI may be as trustworthy, reliable, and reputable as possible in our efforts to enrich our community and its individuals. If you have questions that are unanswered after reading through the style guide, you may contact the Communications/Marketing Office or Creative Services.
Branding Colors
To assure our branding is unified throughout the College of Eastern Idaho, please use our web and print-safe colors.
Colors will vary between RGB and CMYK modes in programs. You should always use RGB for digital platforms, and CMYK for printing. Refer to the table below:
CEI Color Codes & Formats
Format | Uses | Blue Color Code | Yellow Color Code |
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) | 100, 30, 0, 6 | 0, 31, 94, 0
PMS (Pantone Matching System) | 286 | 123
Hex (Hexadecimal) | Digital | #0060a9 | #fdb827 |
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) | Digital | 0, 96, 169 | 253, 183, 39 |

Letterheads & Templates
Here are the official CEI letterheads to accompany any work or documentation:

- Letterhead (Word format)
- PowerPoint Presentation Template
Which Format Do I Need?
To sum it up, PDF (Port Document Format) files are the standard for sharing documents. PDF documents are not subject to alterations or compression, and are ideal for printing. PNG (Portable Network Graphics) files are optimized for web-related graphics, such as logos and illustrations.
PDF or PNG?
PDF
Best for printing & downloads. Great for resizing
PNG
Best for web images. Not great for resizing

Logos
Color Schemes
Please use the full-color logo as much as possible. The black and white logo is made available for black and white printing. The yellow and white logo should be used in situations where the full-color logo has low visibility.
Square vs. Rectangle
For small spaces and general use, the original square logo is appropriate. The longer, rectangular logo is a more scholarly version, especially good for items such as official letterheads and large-scale events. Both are official logos for CEI. Any other variation of these two logos should be deleted.
