Luminescent trees wrapped in brightly colored Christmas lights adorned the expanse of the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Casino as attendees gathered this week for the Idaho State Journal's annual Women of Influence awards event.

A large crowd assembled for the celebration in the hotel's events center to honor several of the region's most influential women.
