The College of Eastern Idaho’s halls filled with the deep, booming sounds of drums Wednesday, as local taiko drummers performed for the lunar new year.

“As a community college, we value opportunities to bring people together and create a welcoming environment,” Hailey Mack, dean of students and student affairs, said in an email to the Post Register. “Today’s event is a collaborative effort designed to recognize and celebrate shared traditions.”
