Career Placement Center
College of Eastern Idaho maintains a placement office for student support. Workshops are offered on resume writing, job seeking, and interviewing skills. In addition, the placement officer serves as a liaison with businesses and industry to promote employment opportunities for CEI Graduates.

Career counselors can assist you with career exploration through the Center for New Directions. Career counselors utilize many resources to guide you through this process. Call to schedule an appointment with one of the career counselors.

Handshake Completion Steps:
- Step 1 – Activate your account
- Step 2 – Enter your primary education
- Step 3 – Enter any organizations you’ve been involved with
- Step 4 – List your skills - I’ve attached some samples that might apply to you
- Step 5 – Upload your resume and any other documents you may want
- Step 6 – Enter the course you’re taking – enter the department-course-section Example: COMM-101-02
- Step 7 – Upload your profile picture
- Step 8 – Add your Bio – this section helps to highlight who you are and what you’re looking for or working towards
- Step 9 – Add your career interests, location of where you’d like to work and what types of industries/jobs you’d like – the more you enter here the better Handshake will work for you to show relevant information tailored to you.
You have until April 26, 2024 to complete your profile to be eligible for the $100 gift card. Afterwards, you will be all set to find the job that is the best fit for you!
