College of Eastern Idaho’s Workforce Training Apprenticeships Earn Federal Recognition

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) is excited to announce that two of its Workforce Training and Continuing Education (WTCE) apprenticeship programs, in electrical and construction, have been awarded federal recognition through collaboration with Idaho Business for Education (IBE).

CEI reports another significant increase in enrollment

IDAHO FALLS — College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) had a 14.4 percent increase in credit student enrollment for the 2024 spring semester, the college reports. Enrollment for the spring semester is expected to continue to rise as Early College high school students continue to enroll over the coming weeks, the college said in a news release Friday.

College of Eastern Idaho saw a 14.4% increase in credit student enrollment for the 2024 spring semester following the first week of classes.
Spring semester enrollment is expected to rise as regional early college high school students enroll in the coming weeks, a college news release said.

At a Dec. 13 Idaho State Board of Education meeting, trustees approved plans for both CWI and the College of Eastern Idaho, based in Idaho Falls, to implement their first four-year degrees after much debate.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho State Board of Education Wednesday approved requests by the College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) and the College of Western Idaho (CWI) to begin offering specific Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degrees.
Two will be offered at CEI and one at CWI.
