Dr. Lori Barber Named Second President to Lead CEI

The College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lori Barber as the second president of CEI. She is expected to assume the office on August 1, 2024.

Idaho Falls — One month ago, life dramatically changed for more than 35,000 college and university students in eastern Idaho when Brigham Young University-Idaho, Idaho State University, and College of Eastern Idaho closed their campuses due to the threat of COVID-19.

Idaho Falls — The College of Eastern Idaho is preparing more students to fill a growing demand for nurses in Idaho.
The “Part-Time Registered Nurse Program” and the “LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to RN (Registered Nurse) Bridge Program” are being rolled out. Both will allow students who work full time during the day to do schooling online in the evening.
