Momentum Builds for Community College

With four classroom and 16 instructors, a College of Southern Idaho satellite campus is the only
place to take a community college course in person in eastern Idaho.

Roughly 200 students attend the CSI Idaho Falls campus, which opened in 2014. At capacity, it could
serve about 600.

Community College Panel Announced

Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper announced Tuesday who will serve on the city’s community
college citizen study panel.

The panel was created to gauge Bonneville County’s need for a community college, what steps would
be needed to convert Eastern Idaho Technical College into a community college and how much the

Notice: Upcoming NWCCU Accreditation Visit

The Northwestern Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) will perform a comprehensive accreditation evaluation visit to Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC) on April 20-22, 2016. A NWCCU evaluation team will meet with campus students, faculty and staff to evaluate EITC’s accreditation status, in conjunction with EITC’s 2016 Year Seven Self-Evaluation Report.

Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper is at the forefront of a loose-knit group of residents calling for

RN Program Announces Cost Saving Changes

Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC) announces positive changes to the Associate Registered Nursing (RN) program. RN students will now be able to complete their Associate RN degree within five semesters (includes prerequisite courses) and will no longer be required to be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to enter the program.
