Dr. Lori Barber Named Second President to Lead CEI

The College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lori Barber as the second president of CEI. She is expected to assume the office on August 1, 2024.

College of Eastern Idaho Graduates Walk the Stage

Idaho Falls, Idaho (KIFI) – College of Eastern Idaho graduates got their chance to walk the stage and officially graduate with their associates degree.
The college held three ceremonies on Tuesday at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm to celebrate their achievements.

Idaho Falls – The College of Eastern Idaho has been selected as a finalist by the Lumina Foundation in The Million Dollar Community College Challenge.
The competition aims to support marketing and brand building at community colleges by awarding the first place winner a $1 million prize.

Idaho Falls (IdahoEdNews.org) — The College of Eastern Idaho and the company that manages the Idaho National Laboratory announced a partnership Wednesday to prepare the laboratory’s future workforce. The partnership includes a $1 million donation to help fund a 40,000-square-foot tech education facility.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The College of Eastern Idaho's science club committed to cleaning up the school this Earth Day.
With the help of the campus student senate and several Biology instructors, they were able to organize the second school clean-up.

Idaho Falls, Idaho (KIFI) - Idaho National Lab directors met with College of Eastern Idaho officials Wednesday morning on the Idaho Falls campus.
Battelle Energy Alliance, which manages INL, announced they will donate $1 million to support the partnership and help plan a new Future Tech Building.

Idaho Falls – Ten veterans and a nonprofit organization were each gifted a shed built by local students.
Each veteran was recognized with a standing ovation Thursday afternoon inside the old Deseret Industries building at 450 E Street as part of the fourth annual Construction Combine. The event was sponsored by the Eastern Idaho Homebuilders Association, College of Eastern Idaho, and Home Depot.

"The Reality Town" is a simulation event, designed to teach students what life is like after high school. During the simulation, students will be given a new identity, including a family, occupation monthly gross pay, spouse’s income, automatic deductions, etc.
